I am raising money for the Boston Bulldogs Running Club, a co-ed 501(c)3 non-profit club established as a community of support for all those adversely affected by addiction - those in recovery, their families and friends, the clinical community and the community at large. This mission has meaning for me and my family, as it does for the friends I have made within this incredible community. I can think of no better cause, or people, to support in this way. This will be my first marathon, and the biggest fundraising challenge I have ever taken on. I am grateful for your support, and the support of my family who thinks I'm a little crazy for doing this. I'm honored to be selected to be part of this amazing team of runners and raising funds for a very personal cause. The Boston Bulldogs Running Club is an organization dedicated to providing support for all of those adversely affected by addiction - those in recovery, their family, friends and caregivers. I have several family members, a few friends in recovery, and my husband lost a brother to addiction. Addiction touches so many families and while substance abuse disorder is considered a highly treatable condition, many people do not seek treatment because they don't know where to go to get help. This organization is dedicated to helping those looking for help. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE or DONATE Annie Eichele
Join me in supporting the Boston Bulldogs Running Club, a charity dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing through running. Your donation will help fund programs that provide support, resources, and community for those struggling with mental health challenges. Every dollar I make subbing will be donated to this great charity, thereby taking the good from helping out in the classroom and transferring it to the good that the Bulldogs give to the greater community. This will take time and, with your help, we’ll be able to make an impact on so many people! Thank you! CLICK HERE TO READ MORE or DONATE Henry Mooers
Two years ago, I was stuck in a pattern of constant drug and alcohol use and abuse. Getting sober seemed impossible, and the life I was living was not the one that five year old Henry saw for himself. I wanted to be well but didn’t know how. When I finally joined the Bulldogs, I found a group of people who welcomed me with open arms and gave me the resources and support I needed to stay sober. This incredible community helped me to regain the ability to be consistent with my physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE or DONATE Rachel Slade
I am beyond excited to run the 129th Boston Marathon on April 21st, 2025, with the Boston Bulldogs Running Club. Addiction has touched many lives, and I am hoping to spread awareness that individuals are not alone. Within the last few years, I have found myself thoroughly enjoying running- listening to nature, challenging myself to PR's (completing two half marathons) and finding a community. I am honored to run my first marathon with a charity that encourages running and community support through recovery. Your donation will make a difference in the lives of those in need. My personal connection to the Bulldogs runs deep. I got involved with the Bulldogs in 2020 when someone very close to me found the club on their recovery journey. Like many, this person sought recovery through various means, but it wasn't until they discovered the Bulldogs that they found the strength and support they needed. Since then, I've witnessed the Bulldogs' positive impact on its members' lives. The community they provide is truly transformative. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE or DONATE Beth Kangos
When I decided to get sober, I had no idea where to find support or which outlets where available to help me. I called one friend who had been sober and my journey started that night. The people who greeted me gave me something I had been missing for a long time, HOPE. I did not know when I was drinking the depth of my pain and isolation, until the day I decided I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. With the help and guidance of people in recovery I was able to learn how to live a full life. In the years that followed I have been able to be a present mother to my boys, to be a wife, a friend, a sister and a daughter. I learned what it was to be accountable to all of them. I know now, there are no limits or restrictions to what I can accomplish. Today life is a GET to not a have to. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE or DONATE |

The Boston Bulldogs mean so much to me ever since I traveled to Boston with my family nearly three years ago. The Club has given me a special connection to the USA with their openness and warm welcome. I look forward to giving back to this club that has given me a life filled with joy and the feeling of belonging to a new place when you leave everything behind for new adventures. My name is Curtis Hargrove. I’m 35 Years old and I'm from Cold Lake, AB Canada. I have been a charity marathon runner since I was 18 and have run 310 marathons over the last 15 years while raising over $500,000 for various charities. At the start of Covid, I lost my way, getting into drugs and spiraling into a deep depression, going as far as being rushed off-site at work in an ambulance with a blood pressure of 240/220 (heart attack/stroke range). I was living two different lives until I finally came clean and told everyone about my struggles. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE or DONATE Brendan O'Sullivan
As an avid runner, I understand the positive impact that physical activity can have on mental wellbeing. I am honored and inspired to run alongside my cousin and Team Captain, Meaghan Langlois, who is living proof of the Boston Bulldogs mission. With your support, my 26.2 mile journey on April 21, 2025 will contribute to the programs and ongoing efforts of the Boston Bulldogs in our communities and beyond. I once got lost running to the front door... in my own home... which is really hard to do... so running a 26 mile marathon seems like a huge risk for me, but I'm willing to give it a go to support the great non profit Boston Bulldogs Running Club that helps so many people and families with addiction recovery and wellness. I will run in memory of my cousin Matt, my tennis partner Troy and for all of us just trying to manage ourselves and stay well. And heck, I figured I've written enough over the years about the influence of running on our mental health that I guess it's high time I go for it. Thanks to my son Jackie for working with me on telling the story of the Bulldogs in our first ever documentary, and to my bride and kids for telling me I should probably train... I rediscovered my love for running after my brother Jordan passed away from a fentanyl overdose in December 2020 at 33 years old, following his courageous 15-year battle with addiction. Jordan and I were extremely close since childhood, and I was looking for an outlet to channel my grief and be alone in my thoughts. I became interested in running my first Boston Marathon last year in Jordan’s memory and set out to find a BAA-approved charity that was specifically focused on providing support to those in recovery and their loved ones. Little did I know how instrumental this club would be in helping me honor Jordan and heal from his loss, while connecting deeply with their mission and forming lasting friendships with other members. When my favorite person, Leah (pictured), reached the peak of her addiction (alcohol), she chose sobriety, I chose running, and we chose supporting each other fiercely in these efforts. Today, she’s three-plus years sober, and I’m six marathons/ultramarathons in, and we’re still supporting each other fiercely. I’m honored to fundraise and run on behalf of a charity that offers the same - recovery, running and support - to help anybody who wants and/or needs it. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE or DONATE |
