What a day...
So many moments at the 2019 Run for Recovery/Tribute - and so many people to recognize and appreciate. Our best Run for Recovery yet on a beautiful day in Franklin Park. 500 runners, 30+ community resources and vendors participating in the Festival, an army of volunteers, and a moving Tribute to those we have lost marked the occasion. Teams like Team Ryan, Cabot Corp., the Herren Project, City Realty, Danny's Broskies, Team Greene, Team Shattuck, RMF and the Jaywalkers turned out representing a true community of support for wellness in recovery. Remarks from Councilor Matt O'Malley and DA Ryan, the National Anthem sung by Mike McColgan, powerful stories and memories shared courageously and a moving performance by Tracy Clark at the Tribute were among the day's highlights.
None of it would be possible without the generous support of the day's sponsors, the Boston Bulldogs community, the enthusiastic and tireless efforts of so many volunteers and supporters.
